Mistal Cottage is a detached stone and pantile cottage with its own walled garden with patio, lawn, garden furniture including loungers and a bird station. It is suitable for babies up to six months and children eight years and over. The entrance is into the pine kitchen which has a separate fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and cooker with grill and oven as well as all equipment including coffee maker, cafetiere, sandwich toaster and food mixer. In addition to flowers or a plant and a welcome tray we provide the following: bed linen, electric blankets, towels, bath robes, tea towels, oven cloth, handwash, bath foam, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, dishcloths/brush/sponge, toilet rolls tissues, all cleaning materials, dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, powder for washer/dryer, refuse bags, tea lights, matches, all ready for you in the cottage. Nothing to bring except a torch.
The large living room, with tv, dvd and hi-fi, has a dining area and sitting area with comfortable three-piece suite and beamed ceiling and offers good views of the surrounding countryside and villages. There is a parquet floor with large carpets in both areas , three storage heaters and a fuel-burning stove. The stove is laid for your arrival and a basket of logs and smokeless fuel is provided. Further supplies are available at cost. The cottage is adequately heated without the stove if you wish. There is a subsidised electric meter for £1.00 coins, full on arrival. Storage heating and hot water is included in the tariff.
The stairs lead from the living room to the galleried landing with the pine bedrooms , double and twin, at either end, each with a storage heater and the double with an electric blanket. Large Velux windows are fully fitted with blackout blinds and there are small windows with partial sea views. All fully wool carpeted. Low beams in both bedrooms.
The large bathroom is on the ground floor with w.c., bath with electric shower over, and washbasin with integrated cupboard. There is a quality tiled floor, full wall tiling, spotlighting and a heater and heated towel rail. There is a separate swimming pool for the private and sole use of Mistal Cottage residents only. The pool is 3ft.6in. deep and is suitable for year-round use. It has a sitting area with loungers, and there are inflatables for the children. The pool faces south, with its own patio and has spectacular views over the countryside to the magnificent high cliffs of Ravenscar and the sea. Private hire of the pool is, of course, optional.
No smokers please and no pets in the garden or cottage.
